Hope you guys all had great weekends! I spent my weekend breaking in my new pair of Levi's skinnies from RE/DUN. I happen to love a good pair of jeans, especially vintage inspired denim, the more rips and tears the better!
One of the biggest problems when shopping for vintage denim is that tailoring is usually a requirement. Another issue I have is that you usually have to spend hours scouring the racks of thrift stores to find that perfect treasured pair. And since this really isn't my thing, I was really excited when I discovered RE/DUN, a new denim brand from fashion entrepreneurs Sean Barron and Jamie Mazur.
As the name suggests, the Los Angeles based denim house finds much-loved vintage Levi's and recuts them into two styles: straight skinny and relaxed skinny. This generates a one-of-a-kind pair every time! They have also recently added high rise and black straight skinnies to their vintage denim line up. The jeans retain all the character of a vintage pair - the whiskers, stains, rips and tears - but have a contemporary silhouette and modern fit. So yes, if you are a denim junkie like me, this is probably the best news you've heard in years.
