Iconic, one of a kind and the best belt investment of your life, the Hermès Constance belt, also known as the "H" belt, is a total classic. It's also one of the best purchases you can make at Hermès. Everything from this iconic brand costs a crap load of money - $1,500 cuffs, $20,000 bags, $500 scarves, it is pure luxury heaven. Fortunately, the Constance belt is one of the less costly items in the Hermès arsenal, and it's sure to make the biggest statement.
I have wanted this belt for forever and was lucky enough to get it as a gift this past Christmas. The one I received is the classic "H" buckle in the brushed gold finish, however it does come in several other finishes and fonts.
The leather belts are reversible which is awesome. I have the fawn/black combo which, if you're going to splurge, is the one you should get because you can't go wrong with brown and black. And you're sure to get the most use out of it.
When you buy your first buckle, you need to buy the leather belt as well. Although you may be tempted, DO NOT buy the leather belt from somewhere else. It never fits totally right and if you're going to take the plunge you might as well do it right the first time. I know these belts are expensive but they are an investment piece!
DO NOT buy one from eBay or anywhere else for that matter except Hermès. You might as well buy it fresh from the source and get the whole Hermès "experience", and the peace of mind in knowing that it's authentic. And whatever you do, don't buy a fake one! Never buy fake anything - just go without until you can get the real thing. Believe me, a trained eye can always tell a fake - even a good one. I can sniff out a fake anything like a bloodhound. Trust me, DO NOT ATTEMPT.
But seriously though, the Hermès Constance belt is the perfect accessory for just about everything and it's sure to add an air of sophistication to any wardrobe. It's classic, chic and can be dressy or casual. I wear mine with high waisted skirts or with jeans and a white tee. It's perfect for everyday wear and it's just, well, the perfect belt.
